Our intention was to create a really luxurious feel whilst keeping the original architecture of the room . A large south facing bay window captured the morning sun light which flooded the room as you can see from the images. We enhanced the original architectural features of the room by installing a fumed oak parquet floor not to be mistaken with common or garden oak floors, these boards were selected due to the straight grain and lack of knots. A banded triple border was set in position around the perimeter of the room and the parquet pattern laid between. The fireplace wall was finished with Italian polished plaster and the main ceiling was dropped to create an led lit coffer for ambient lighting. As the room was to be used more for relaxing then entertaining, we selected and placed a very large sofa in a soft Italian velvet fabric, complemented by a seal skin effect rug on which a footstool and coffee tables were positioned . The jewellery of the room was a beautiful pendant light which resembled intertwined ribbons with a reflective silver leafed interior, along with a stunning Fiam Italia convexed mirror .
